Hi there, PonyCycle ride on horse is kid-powered, need no battery or power. By gently bouncing up and down in the saddle and pushing the pedal, the child propels the PonyCycle horse forward in a galloping motion. It just like riding a real horse!
For the sound unit of Model U, it needs 3 x LR44 batteries.

Can I pull or push a child on the pony without them pedaling?
Yes, the PonyCycle® ride-on pony can be pushed or pulled forward even if the child is not pedaling.

How to control the pony's direction while riding?
Children can easily steer by gently turning the pony handles-just like riding a bike.

Do I need to assemble the pony?
Yes, but it's easy and intuitive to assemble. Your PonyCycle® ride-on toy will be ready in about 5 minutes.

Can the pony only move forward and not go backward?
Yes. Please understand that not moving backward is for the safety of children. During riding, children will only move forward within their field of vision to avoid potential dangers caused by reversing due to ignoring the situation behind them. Therefore, we adopted a specially developed one-way wheel.

On which surfaces can I ride my PonyCycle®?
PonyCycle® ride on toy can be ridden on all flat and smooth hard surfaces, both interior and exterior (such as wood flooring, tile, laminate, or low-pile carpet indoors; and pavement, cement, asphalt, or smooth bricks outdoors).

In addition to age, we recommend considering your child's height and inseam length to find the best fit. Please refer to our size chart for detailed guidance.

What material are the wheels made of?
The wheels on pony are made with a PP (polypropylene) hub and a PU (polyurethane) tire surface. PU is softer and more elastic than hard plastic, and it offers better grip, reduced noise, and greater wear resistance. It's also gentle on most flooring materials, making it a safer and more reliable choice for both indoor and outdoor use.

What is the largest size available?
The largest size in Home Version is Size 5, which is suitable for children aged 7 and above. It supports a maximum weight of 176 lbs. Adults within the weight limit can also enjoy riding, making it perfect for parent-child interaction.
