Riding a PonyCycle® is a special milestone in every child’s journey! We understand how important it is to choose the right pony, as the wrong fit can affect child's riding experience. Many parents find themselves torn between the 3 and 4 sizes. Check out our tips to help you find the perfect pony size for your little rider, so they can enjoy every moment of their ride!

➢ My child is 4/5 years old. Should I choose Size 3 or Size 4 pony?

The best way to determine whether to choose Size 3 or Size 4 Pony is to measure your child's inseam.

Size 3: For inseam 14.1 to 18.3 inches.

Size 4: For inseam 17.9 to 23.3 inches.

        ➢ What’s an inseam?

Inseam is the distance between the ground and the crotch.

➢ Why is this inseam so important?

Even though children may be the same age, their height and build can vary greatly. By measuring their inseam, you can choose the right size pony for your child. A perfectly fitting pony will help them experience the joy and confidence of riding much sooner!

➢ Yeah, but what about their age?

Age is more likean approximate fit. Inseam is an exact fit.

➢ Ok, got it. How exactly do I measure this?

➢ If my child's inseam is close to 17.9 inches, can I choose Size 4 pony?

Yes, choosing Size 4 pony is a smart decision, as it can accommodate your child's future growth. Additionally, our pedal pad can help your child better reach the pedals, ensuring a more comfortable ride.

Note: The height that the pedal pad can add is limited. The combined height of your child's inseam and the pedal pad should fit within the Size 4 inseam range.
