Is Size 4 right for ages 4 to 7, and what should I choose for a 7-year-old?
Size 4 is designed for ages 4–7 and supports riders up to 88 lbs. Since age 7 sits at the boundary between sizes, compare the child's height and inseam with our size guide . A child who still fits Size 4 comfortably may remain in it, while a taller child or one needing more room may be better suited to Size 5, which is designed for ages 7+ and supports up to 176 lbs.
Will my child grow out of Size 4 quickly?
Size 4 covers a broad 4-to-7 age range, so it is intended to support several years of use when the fit is right. Choosing by height and inseam, rather than age alone, gives the best chance of a comfortable fit with room to grow.
